(from "Never Never")
The last two weeks learning in GEE 16 brought forth unprecedented activities that can greatly stir up one's interest challenging socialization skills in the form of a social experiment. Fear of rejection is a result of imposed expectation on something while depending one's worth on other people's approval. As failure is hard to handle, life without it is stale, and same goes when risks are never taken. Being an entrepreneur, one needs to be resilient and strong-willed in order to overcome setbacks. Expect failure while persisting steadfast; optimism and pessimism all at once. All of these were anticipated to be manifested in conducting a social experiment. The experience was nerve-wrecking, embarrassing, very spontaneous conversation in convincing the other party, and definitely something I avoid doing. Indeed, it was a roller-coaster of emotions but as the saying goes, try it and you will find yourself wanting more.
The held Lecture Series Program was partaken by various entrepreneurs and business experts. Myriad of key takeaways and knowledge about startup and startup ideas were discussed throughout the lecture. The main point of the lecture was to raise awareness about intellectual property rights and copyright. Discussions like these are paramount especially to the young minds and young entrepreneurs like us as this serves as the first step to attaining an effective business all the while protecting the owner of the product even after death. Startup, on the other hand, was discussed in a way that transparency of the possible distressing outcomes were included. It can be noticed that nothing was sugarcoated as they narrate their journey. The experience must have been devastating and horrifying. Others might stop and give up but them--they are considered eminent Entrepreneurs as they are strengthened by failures and still thrive for victory in face of defeat.
At last, as heart of the business, innovation really is an advent of something great. Reaching the apex is not the ending as there are times one needs to step down. And there really is no such thing as an "ending" for as long as one is still capable of dreaming, ideating, creating, recreating, upgrading, developing, revamping, thriving and failing while still in the process, everything goes on. Forsooth, for an Entrepreneur, the end is not coming but rather, it is being prolonged.
